Position Overview

 

Sesterce is seeking a talented and experienced System Administrator to join our team. As a System Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining our computing infrastructure to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to excellence.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Design, implement, and manage the company's computing infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, and virtualization environments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new solutions and technologies.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and end-users.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve our systems and processes.

 

Qualifications

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
